Parking around St Mary's

As will be seen from the map, the church is sited in the apex of two roads (London Road and Church Street) but has no car park of its own. Parking restrictions apply in London Road on the opposite side from the church (8.30am to 6.30pm Monday - Saturday).

We often find that parking spaces around the church are at a premium and the map shows the local car parks - marked as a blue "P". Charges apply midweek but they are free on Sundays.

We recognise that this is an issue especially for funerals and are exploring various possibilities with the authorities to see what can be done to improve the situation.
