SHROVE REGDAY
Tuesday, 24 February 2004
Pancake Party in the Church Hall. 7.00 for 7.30pm

Our Licenced Reader, Mr. Reg Saunders, celebrates 40 years of Reader ministry on Shrove Tuesday, and there will be a parish party in his honour that evening.

It is quite a record, and most of his Readership has been at St. Mary's, though he was originally licensed in the Portsmouth Diocese.

A Headmaster of culture and urbanity he will be continuing to occupy the pulpit, and to give us shrewd and pithy insights into the Scriptures, the Church, and on society at large.

It is a nice time for congratulations and for drinking wine.

Tickets price ?5 available in Church from 1 February or from the churchwardens.
